Obituary of Eleanor Cloutier
Eleanor Ruth Cloutier, 66, of Isanti passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at her home after a short battle with cancer.
She was born November 23, 1941 in Duluth, Minnesota to Leo and Violet (Hamlin) Lamirande. She grew up in Faribault where she attended school. After her schooling she moved back to Duluth and later Minneapolis.
On August 13, 1973 she was united in marriage to Thomas Cloutier in Watertown, South Dakota. They bought a home in South Minneapolis and lived there for a few years before buying a home north of Cambridge. After 17 years they moved to Duluth and lived there for 9 years. The past seven years they lived in Isanti.
Ellie enjoyed collecting cookie jars and clocks. She loved spending time with her family and especially loved her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed life and was always happy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Joanne Hvamstad, brother Sonny Lamirande, infant daughter Tanya Renee Cloutier.
Ellie will be missed by her husband Tom if Isanti, daughters Faliesha and husband Bryon Hackler of Stanchfield, Missy and husband Craig Oslund of Rochester, son Alcid Cloutier of Ashland, WI, step children Dawn and husband Tom Sundly of North Branch, Kathleen and husband Tom Olson of Cambridge, Christina and husband Jeff Winther of Cambridge, 13 grandchildren and one more expected soon, two great grandchildren, sisters Dorothy and husband Ed McCorison of Duluth, Roberta McCullough of Bismarck, MO, Joyce and husband Dick Orpin of Missouri, brother Roger and wife Deborah Culas of Duluth, as well as several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
