Obituary of Beth Findell

Beth M. Findell (Spencer) 91 years 2 months passed away peacefully at the Grandview Christian Home on Good Friday, March 21, 2008 Beth was preceded in death by her husband Earl in 1988, son Douglas in 1946, parents Barney and Lula Spencer, brothers Ronald and Charles, sons-in-law Gary Olson and Richard Swenson. Beth was born in Blaisdell, North Dakota January 20, 1917. She was so small that the first weeks she was put in a shoe box and kept warm by the wood stove. The family moved to East Cambridge when Beth was a young girl and she attended the Moody School and Cambridge Schools. She was united in marriage to Earl Findell on April 21, 1937. They remained in Cambridge for a number of years and moved to Minneapolis for Earl to work for five years. They returned to Cambridge and raised their family. Beth went to work at the Cambridge State Hospital and retired after 21 years of service. She was a member of Cambridge Lutheran Church and Royal Neighbors of America. Beth was a great cook and baker. The girls' friends loved coming to the house on Saturdays and enjoying her baked bread and rolls. Beth and Earl loved to travel and made trips to Hawaii and Alaska. They traveled a lot of the U.S. You never saw mom and dad without each other. They were truly a couple that was in love their entire marriage. They enjoyed 51 years of marriage. Mom was a happy and fun loving lady who enjoyed her family and we all have wonderful memories of her life. She had a contagious smile that everyone that met her loved. She didn't want to miss a party. Beth is survived by her loving daughters; Sandra Olson (Gary), Bloomington, MN, Nancy Lange (Steve), Castle Rock, CO., Diane Sullivan (Kevin), Lakeville, MN, six grandchildren, Steve Olson, Bob Olson (Janine), Tyler Swenson (Dana), Matt Swenson (Janelle), Meghan (fiancé) TJ Stommes, Shannon Sullivan, three great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. God bless the memories of our parents. May all our lives be blessed.
