Obituary of LaJeanne Miller

LaJeanne C. Miller of Stacy, died on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at her residence at the age of 69. She was born on January 6th, 1945 to Edgar and Bonna Forsberg on a farm near the West Riverside School west of Cambridge. She attended the West Riverside School, until she moved to Harris and then attended North Branch High School. She worked as a teen with her mother in Harris at the Bonnadell Greenhouse raising plants and flowers for resale. This inspired her to pursue a vocation in floral arrangements attending various schools and clinics and landed a job with Forest Lake Floral working as a florist for nearly 20 years. In December of 1962, she married the love of her life Gerald Miller of North Branch, and set up residence in various locations in Isanti County and finally settled onto the farm in Oxford Township. Jeannie, as she was more commonly known, loved gardening, canning and being a farmer's wife. Her love for canning and pickling earned her a reputation for having a variety of tasty canned favorites, especially her neighborhood famous sauerkraut. She adored children and started her family, having four children between 1965 and 1971 ironically all two years apart. She was a member of the St John's Lutheran church near Weber, and was an accomplished vocalist singing at numerous events. Her love for art was shown in various oil paintings, ceramic sculptures and in her graceful dance style. If you had the privilege of having a cup of coffee with Jeannie at her kitchen table you would get a glimpse of nearly every bird variety in the area as the numerous feeders hummed with excitement. She is survived by her husband Gerald Miller of Stacy, daughter Jenette Miller of Mora, and sons Jerid Miller of North Branch, and Jason (Dawn) Miller of Stacy; 10 grandchildren; brother Keith (Kay) Forsberg of Warroad. Jeannie Was preceded in death by her sisters Sharon Nyberg, and Donna Lindquist; Brothers Neil and Layne Forsberg; and infant daughter Jodi Kay Miller.
