Obituary of Gladys Thomas

Gladys Amanda Thomas, 80, of Dalbo passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at GracePointe Crossing Gables West. She was born November 13, 1933 in Bradford Township, Minnesota to Oscar and Amanda (Olson) Beckman. Gladys grew up in the Isanti County area, attending country school and graduating from Cambridge High School in 1951. On May 24, 1957, she was united in marriage to Jerome Thomas in Mora, Minnesota. After, which they moved to Hibbing, Minnesota for a time while Jerome worked in the mines. In 1960 they would purchase a farm in Dalbo where they raised their four children; Gladys remained at home until her hospitalization on February 1, 2014. Gladys will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She so lovingly cared and selflessly devoted herself to her family - blessing their lives with the beautiful gift of her love and filling their hearts with a lifetime of cherished memories. Her passing was preceded by her parents Oscar and Amanda Beckman, brother Carl Beckman and sister Lillian (Everett) Hendricks. Gladys is survived by her husband Jerome, sons Delvin, Ronald and Jerry, and daughter Julie (Bob) Bathke, two grandchildren, Daryl Bathke and Amanda (Joe) Mohs, great grandchildren Kyle and Alonna Mohs, niece Carol (Steve) Bergren, as well as numerous other loved relatives and friends.
