Obituary of Rhoda Anderson

Rhoda Darlene Anderson of Cambridge, MN went to paradise on Sunday, February 9th 2014 at GracePointe Crossing Gables West. She was 76 years old. Rhoda was born on February 17, 1937 to Frank and Eleanor (Larsen) Kinneman in the rustic woods of Baudette, Minnesota. She was born that cold day on the kitchen table and was placed in the oven while her brother Roger was being delivered. The family then moved to Carlos Avery Game Preserve where Rhoda thrived in the community, signing solo's at the Coon Lake Covenant Church and making many dear friends at the Forest Lake High School, graduating with class of 1955. She then went to work at the Anoka county courthouse in her 4 inch heels and dress suits. In March of 1963 she married the love of her life Eldred Anderson and they made their first home in Coon Rapids, MN. In 1968 they moved to Springvale Township with their two young sons. Rhoda was a devoted homemaker with endless skills; canning, baking, knitting, cooking and entertaining the neighborhood children. Rhoda and Ed enjoyed five great years of retirement; spoiling the grandkids, traveling in their motorhome and airplane, garage sales and catching up with friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband Eldred; son Boyd; parents Frank and Eleanor Kinneman; step- mother Lois; sisters Carole Bean and Glea Gorham; twin brother Roger Kinneman; niece Denise Gorham.
