I was sorry to read about Pat. We were on vacation at that time and didn't see the newspaper until last week. I really enjoyed playing cribbage and getting to know about Pat's family. He was a special man and I know you are mourning his loss. May God be with you as you mourn and celebrate his life.
When I started at the Sheriff's Office in 1977, Pat was the Veterans Service Officer and the Civil Defense Director. I was only 17 years old when I started at the Sheriff's Office and I will always remember that Pat took me under his wing and would be somebody that I could go to if I needed to talk about something or asks questions. I always thought of Pat as my other dad. When I seen that he passed away, all those memories came back of what a great guy he was. I will miss him a lot!
Grandpa Pat, as I have always known him, was the kindest man. He gave my dad his first job when dad moved to Isanti and I grew up so thankful for him and grandma Helen. We are all so very sorry to see him leave, but I am so blessed for having known him and I am thankful that he and Helen are together again. Love you, Grandpa Pat! Hope you are dad are sharing some laughs together.
