I love this Picture of your mom and Mae. My heart really goes out to you guys and your family so sorry for your loss. It was a pleasure knowing her she was like a grandma to me and I loved every min I got to spend with her. I loved her stories and I loved how she would always beat me in trivial persuit. That woman was beyond smart! :) She had a heart of gold and compassion like no other. She will be truely missed.I know without a doubt in my heart she is safe in the arms of Jesus and loving it!

Monica, Karin and Anne - It was with great sadness that I heard of Berit's passing. My heart goes out to all of you. She was an incredible woman and of great joy to Mom, Dad and me. One of my favorite jokes to this day that I still use was from Berit. She asked me 'Why was Jesus Christ not born in Norway?'. I had no clue but she told me. 'There were no wise men to the east.' To this day, it still makes me chuckle and I have made a few Swedes chuckle as well ....or was that grimace? With fond and loving memory, Lina

I worked with Berit at Cambridge State Hospital in the 1970's and she was a fantastic nurse. She could knit faster than anyone I ever knew and she raised the best cucumbers. I bought many bushels of cukes from her to make pickles. So sorry to hear of her passing. Shirley

When I moved to Cambridge in third grade I had no idea how it would change my life. I met my dearest and oldest friend, Monica, Berit's daughter. Now almost 40 years later Berit and her family have been a big part of not only my life, but my family's life as well. I am thankful everyday that Berit gave one of her greatest gifts to me her family. I love you all and will miss her with all my heart. Thank you for being such an important part of my life.

I was over sixty when I met Berit, which means I missed lots ot years of knowing her. She put a lot of sunshine into my life. We made Swedish pancakes together and fed a group of friends about once a month. She loved cards and scrabble and travel. She took tours with us and made every trip enjoyable. Because of her we have a gathering of about 50 friends at Hinckley every July. We love her dearly and will have a big hole in our lives without her but we are all richer for having known her. I have it on good authority that they speak Norwegian in Heaven so she will be just fine. God bless you, Berit.
