Obituary of Robert Mellgren

Robert (Bob) Mellgren, 72, of Cambridge, Minnesota passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side on March 24th, 2014. Bob was born on November 2nd 1941 in Lake City, Minnesota to Russell and Mildred Mellgren. Bob loved the outdoors, especially at their lake home in Hackensack, Minnesota. He enjoyed feeding the birds and taking in all that nature had to offer. He was a talented craftsman and could make or fix anything. He was a long time employee of the State Of Minnesota. Bob will be sadly missed by his wife Darlene of 45 years. Bob was a compassionate, thoughtful and loving husband. Bob leaves behind two children, Todd Mellgren and his wife Martha of Minneapolis and a daughter Lynn Mellgren of Osceola, Wisconsin, as well as sister Bonnie and husband Lowell Branstad of Baxter, sister-in-law Mary Krause of Forest Lake, mother-in-law Betty Psyck of North Branch, and many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was a loving father who was always there with guidance and support. He leaves behind many friends and relatives that will miss his good sense of humor and the sparkle in his eyes. His absence will leave a void in all of our lives and he will be sadly missed by all that knew him. Rest in peace Bob we all love you deeply.
