Obituary of Carl Beckman

Carl Eugene Beckman, 82, of Princeton, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2007 at the Cambridge Health Care Center. He was born May 19, 1925 in Bradford Township, Minnesota to Oscar and Amanda (Olson) Beckman. Carl grew up on a farm in Bradford and attended the Liberty School in Bradford. After his schooling he helped his father on the home farm. As an adult Carl purchased a farm which he worked on for several years. In addition to his farming, Carl worked construction and was a plaster tender in the building of new homes. Carl worked hard his whole life and was very kind, gentle, honest and generous. A good natured man, Carl thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and especially trapping, and his dogs. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Everett Hendricks. Carl is survived by his sisters Lillian Hendricks of Princeton, Gladys and husband Jerome Thomas of Dalbo, nieces Carol (Steve) Bergren of Mora, Julie (Bob) Bathke of Zimmerman, nephews Delvin (Carol) Thomas of Princeton, Ronald (Sheila) Thomas of Oak Park, Jerry Thomas of Dalbo, as well as great nieces and nephews and other relatives.
