Obituary of Cordala Valerius

Cordala Erna (Scheff) Valerius, 82, of Cambridge, MN passed away on May 18th, 2014. Cordie was born to Samuel and Erna Kirschbaum on January 26, 1932 in Wood Lake, MN. Cordie was baptized on February 28, 1932 in Wood Lake. Cordie was confirmed on August 24, 1947 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Brook Park, MN. Following graduation from Benson High School in 1951, Cordie married Wilbert A. Scheff on September 4, 1951 and raised four children with him. Following Wilbert's death in 1987, Cordie married Kenneth L. Valerius on January 24, 1997. Cordie enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, and visiting with friends. Cordie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wilbert, second husband Kenneth, son Duane Scheff, grandson Brian Lester, two brothers and one sister. Cordie is survived by son Gary (Susan) Scheff of Harris, daughter Joanne (Bruce) Lester of Cambridge, and son Steve (Michelle) Scheff of Chillicothe, IL; six grandchildren, Daniel, Deanna, Sara, Patty, Neil and Holly; one step-grandson, Jordan; six great grandchildren, Elijah, Asher, Gohan, Brayden, Logan, and Emma. Also survived by step-mom, Dorothy Kirschbaum, two brothers, Marlin Kirschbaum, and Stanley (Mary) Kirschbaum, step-brothers Kenneth Kirschbaum and Mertin (Judy) Kirschbaum; step-sister Fern (Clayton) Christenson; and other relatives and friends.
