Obituary of Verona Matson

Verona Fay Matson passed away peacefully in her sleep the morning of May 21st, 2014. Verona was born August 4th, 1930 to Otto and Freda Matson in Dalbo MN. She was the oldest of three children to grow up on the family farm. She was baptized in the Dalbo Baptist Church, where she accepted Christ as her savior as a young child. She attended country school and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1947. After high school she moved to Minneapolis where she worked various secretarial jobs throughout her career. Her interests included cooking, gardening, crafting ordinary objects into eye catching masterpieces, picture taking, doll making and her favorite past-time sewing. She is preceded in death by her parents Otto and Freda Matson and brother, Arvel Matson. Verona is survived by her sister, Ardene Matson of Columbia Heights, nieces and nephew, grandnieces, and many cousins.
