Obituary of Dana Rehm
Dana C. Rehm, 61, of Cambridge, MN formerly of Breckenridge, passed peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at his home.
He was born July 9, 1952 in Breckenridge, MN to Florian and Edna (Hingst) Rehm. Dana grew up in Breckenridge and graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1970.
He was united in marriage to Charlene Weiss on July 24, 1971 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wahpeton, ND. To this union two children were born Sara and Seth. Dana attended NDSU at Fargo, UND in Grand Forks before enlisting in the U.S. Army. While in the military he trained in Missouri and became a medic while stationed in San Antonio, TX. He also spent time in San Francisco and earned his nursing degree and moved to Denver, CO to work at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center. After his honorable discharge in January 1978 he attended North Dakota State School of Science and earned a degree in architectural drafting and design. In 1995 he attended St. Cloud State and received a degree in Clinical Lab Science. He did his internship in Cedar Rapids, IA and later moved to North Branch and began working at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital. In 2003 he transferred his Allina Employment to Cambridge Medical Center so they moved to Cambridge. He worked in the lab until 2011 when he had to stop working due to health concerns.
Dana was a member of Joy Lutheran Church. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents Florian "PeeWee" and Edna "Tiny" Rehm, and brother Donald Rehm. Dana is survived by his wife Charlene of Cambridge, daughter Sara (Christopher) Stroh of Red Wing, Seth (Rochelle) Rehm of Cambridge, 6 grandchildren Cameron, Claire and Brynnah Stroh, Cassidy, Hunter and Jaxon Rehm, brother Dr. Richard (Debi) Rehm of Nashville, TN, sisters Pam (Sam) Samuelson of Ottertail Lake, Faye Rehm of Battle Lake, as well as many other relatives and friends.
