Obituary of Robert Dochniak

Robert "Bob" Dochniak, 58, of Cambridge, was embraced into Jesus' arms on July 29, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born July 22, 1956 to Robert & Janice Dochniak in St. Paul, MN. He graduated from Humboldt High School in 1974 and joined the US Marine Core. In 1975 he was involved in the Battle of Mayaguez on the Island of Koh Tang, Cambodia in which he was wounded and received a purple heart. In 1977 he met Laurie Lenz through computer dating. They married May 6th, 1978 and had three children. Bob was involved in a car accident in December of 2001 which left his disabled. He had many health challenges the past 13 years, including the loss of both legs. He never complained. He touched the lives of many through his determination and unwavering faith. The Lord was #1 in his life. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Laurie, his children Monica (Eric) Swenson of West Lake Ohio, Luke (Nicki) Dochniak, and Diana (Adam) Dordal of Cambridge, grandchildren Kaitlyn, Sarah, Cole, and Natalie, mother Janice Zick broth Scott (Annie) Dochniak, sister Aleta Ortez, and many other relatives and friends.
