Some of my very best memories of my times with Dad were when we ran together after work in Lake Forest. He would call me after our work days and ask me to join him. It was usually dusk and quite beautiful, as that town was known to be. We didn't talk much but our paces were always perfectly matched back then. It was a mutually meditative time and I felt so close to him as we breathed and paced our steps together. I felt that he was such a kindred spirit - something I have often experienced with Dad. Love those times. Thanks for teaching me to love running, Dad.

I must have been in 3rd grade. We lived in Eden Prairie MN. Dad took me to a Father / Daughter dinner- dance. I was a Brownie in the Girl Scouts briefly. It was a Scouts function. I don't think we danced - that would have been weird - but I remember the music. Hey - it wasn't our cup of tea, but we participated! (We would have rather been camping.)
