Obituary of Joel Wentworth

Joel Douglas Wentworth passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 14, 2008, of a pulmonary hemorrhage at home in Stilwell, Kan. Joel was born in St. Paul, Minn. On Jan. 3, 1978, to Douglas and Carol (Kjos) Wentworth. He attended New Prague, Minn., Elementary Schools and graduated in 1996 from Blue Valley High School in Stilwell, Kan. He went on to attend Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kan., majoring in chemical engineering. Waiting to welcome him in heaven are his grandmother, Bernice Kjos; grandfather, Glenn Wentworth and uncle Ronald Hanson. Joel is survived by his parents, Douglas and Carol Wentworth of Stilwell; sisters, Joy (Randy) Thompson of Eagan, Minn., Dr. Nicole (Kip) Hartung of Woodbury, Minn., Jacquelyn Wentworth of Fargo, ND; brother, Nicholas Wentworth of Overland Park, Kan.; grandparents, Margaret Wentworth of Cambridge, Minn., Gordon Kjos of Red Wing, Minn.; aunts, Marianne Kjos and Suzanne Hanson of Red Wing; uncles, Dean and David Wentworth of Cambridge; niece, Miranda Thompson; nephews, Weston and Max Hartung, and many cousins. Prior to his nine year illness, Joel enjoyed running, his friends and was an honor student. He was a good son and a very good person and is now in heaven free from his illness.
