Obituary of Gertrude Lindgren

Gertrude Sylvia Lindgren, 83, of Cambridge passed away on Monday, June 2, 2008 at the Grandview Christian Home. She was born September 4, 1924 in Mason, Wisconsin to Simon and Gertie Johnson. She grew up on a farm in Mason with three sisters and one brother. She attended country school near Mason. Gertrude was united in marriage to Thomas Anderson on March 15, 1941. She later married Herbert Hokenson on July 29, 1961. Herb passed away September 2, 1977. On November 30, 1985 she married Leonard Lindgren. They made their home in Benson, MN after Doc retired from his chiropractic practice. In 1990 they moved to Cambridge. Leonard passed away on June 12, 1994. More recently Gert was a resident at the Grandview Christian Home. Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents, brother Earl Simon Johnson and sister Elaine Durand, her husbands, and step great granddaughter Adrian Lynn Lang She is survived by her daughters Janet and husband Scott Hendrickson of Melbourne, Florida, Charis Hershey and special friend Donald Hale of Mora, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandson, sisters Myrtle Schillinger of Columbia Heights, Fern and husband Warren Anderson of Niagra, WI, as well as other relatives and friends.
