Obituary of Tim Potrament

Tim Michael Potrament was born March 26, 1965 and passed away on September 30, 2014 surrounded by his family. In 1983 he graduated from Braham Area High School where he enjoyed playing baseball. His love for the game carried through to his over 35 softball league. He also had a passion for golf, four wheeling, snowmobiling, bowling, and was an avid outdoors man. Tim married his loving wife Betsy in 1995 and together they had two daughters, Josie and Hattie. He was a very proud and devoted father, who loved watching and supporting his girls in any activity they took part in. As a family they enjoyed going on trips together to places such as San Diego, Mexico and their yearly trip to Madeline Island, which was Tim's happy place. He was a retired Cambridge firefighter, after 17 years of service to the community he stayed close with all his colleagues and continued to host the Cambridge Fire Department's annual Christmas party. For over 20 years Tim was very proud to be a commercial roofer for Roof Tech and a member of the roofer 96 union. He was a very hard worker and when it came to fixing things he was the modern day MacGyver. When he wasn't working or supporting his daughters he could be found out in the pole shed where family and friends would stop by and watch the array of sporting events that were on his big screen TV, and socialize, have a few laughs and enjoy each other's company. Tim was preceded in death by his mother Myrtle Faye Potrament and mother-in-law Beverly Herrnberger. He is survived by his wife Betsy (Herrnberger), daughters Josie and Hattie of Cambridge, and Amalia (Anthony) Gruman-Laird of Robbinsdale, father Thomas Potrament of Braham, brothers TJ (Kelley) of Stacy , Terry (Kathy) of Braham, Todd (Kathy) from Cambridge, In-laws Max Herrnberger of Cambridge, Maggie (Mark) Manzke of Clear Lake, Robert Nelson of Cambridge, Max (Shauna) Herrnberger of Minnetonka, nieces Jenny (Zach), Erin (Jesse), Sara, Amanda, Ariel, Ali, and Sam, nephews Eric, Matthew, Brandon, Ben, and Max. Along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and coworkers.
