I built a big red truck for Howard back in the early 90’s to pull his boat . I built many trucks for many racers and I must say Mr. Arneson was a great guy to build for and even more so just to visit with . I wasn’t done with the truck and he said he needed it , but it’s not ready I told him , he assured me he would bring it right back so I could finish , he was taking Ross Perot for a ride in the boat . When he did return I asked him how it went and we talked ... , for me it was a high lite in my career ... never to be forgotten , a story I tell every chance I get .
I did a major photo shoot with Howard for Hot Boat magazine a cover shoot. One of the best times I have ever had. He drove me in his corvette to the boat we went 168mph in the sf bay.
