Obituary of Ione Rose

Ione Mae Rose, age 85, of Princeton, formerly of Bradford, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Fairview Northland Medical Center in Princeton. She was born on September 12, 1929 to Walter & Irene (From) Reineccius in Athens Township, Minnesota. She grew up in the area where she attended country school and went on to graduate from Cambridge High School. In her younger years, Ione used to race cars at the Bradford Speedway. On June 9, 1951, Ione was married to Russell Rose. In 1956 they purchased and began operating the Bradford Store. The store remained in their care for about 50 years. Later in life she began taking road trips with her dog, Spot. Ione was known as very hardworking and fun to be around. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell, her parents, brother, Billy Reineccius, and a niece, Toni Bachman. Ione is survived by her sisters, Jean Thompson of Princeton and Marjorie Palmer of Elk River, as well as other relatives and friends. Funeral Service 11AM on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home in Cambridge with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Long Lake Community Cemetery.
