Obituary of Paulette McFarlane
Polly E. McFarlane, 58, of Stanchfield passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at the Cambridge Medical Center.
Paulette Edyth (Millay) McFarlane was born February 3, 1950 in Minneapolis, MN to Earl and Marian (Olson) Millay. She grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from Edison High School in 1968.
On April 1, 1972 she was united in marriage to Jerry McFarlane. They made their home in Glenview, Illinois for three years while Jerry was serving in the United States Navy. During that time their first daughter Michelle was born at the Great Lakes Naval Hospital. The family moved to Cambridge and their second daughter LeAnn was born at the U of M Hospital in Minneapolis. They would later move to the metro area where their two daughters grew up and attended school. After Michelle and LeAnn moved from home, Polly and Jerry returned to the Cambridge area and have lived there since.
Polly and Jerry attended First Baptist Church and more recently New Hope Community Church where Polly actively volunteered on the pit crew, served as a counter and helped with the serving group. She enjoyed life and her biggest focus and joy was her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Richard Millay and father-in-law Clayton McFarlane.
Polly is survived by her husband Jerry of Stanchfield, daughters Michelle and husband Greg Crain of Ham Lake, LeAnn and husband Darren Goltz of Brainerd, five grandchildren Kayla, Kyle, Ashlee, Logan and baby boy on the way, sister Phyllis and husband George Gilliver of Columbia Heights, brother Doug and wife MaryAnn Millay of Minneapolis, sister-in-law Harriet Millay of St. Anthony, mother-in-law Shirley McFarlane of Cambridge, as well as many other relatives and friends.
