Obituary of Jackie Bjork

Jackie Vernon Bjork Sr., 68, of Zimmerman passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at his home. He was born on June 21, 1940 in Rock Creek, Minnesota to Edwin and Blanche (Matrious) Bjork. After his schooling he entered the U.S. Army in July 1961. He was stationed in Berlin, Germany and was honorably discharged in July 1964. He was united in marriage to Connie Sommers and they raised five sons. Jack owned and operated his own landscaping and stone business for many years from which he retired in 1992. Jack loved his family and being at home, he enjoyed going to the casino and his animals. He was a happy-go-lucky guy who always played a good practical joke. He was preceded in death by two sons William and Troy Bjork, parents Edwin and Blanche Bjork, brothers Gerald "Tony" and Michael Lewis Bjork, and sister Esther Thorson. Jack is survived by his sweetheart of nearly 44 years Connie Bjork of Zimmerman, sons Edwin and wife Regenea Bjork of Ramsey, Jason Bjork of Zimmerman, Jackie Jr. and wife Maria of St. Francis, four grandsons Kyle, Troy, Raymond and William Bjork, brother Bernard and wife Karen Bjork of Las Vegas, NV, sisters Valoise Pederson of Onamia, Juanita and husband Joseph Jourdain of Minneapolis, as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
