Obituary of Frances Carlson

Frances Louise Harriet Carlson, 86, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, October 10, 2008 at Grace Pointe Crossing �" formerly Grandview Christian Home. She was born March 14, 1922 in Wyanett Township, Minnesota to C. Albert and Lydia (Pearson) Anderson. She grew up in Wyanett, attended country school and was a member of the Wyanett Evangelical Free Church, being baptized in Green Lake as a child. After her schooling, Frances worked in Rockford and Minneapolis as a housekeeper and in manufacturing during World War II. On November 26, 1955 she was united in marriage to Lester Carlson at the Salem Evangelical Free Church in Minneapolis. They moved to the Beresford South Dakota area where they raised their two children. While in Beresford they farmed for many years and were members of the Dalesburg Baptist Church. Frances was active in the choir and the Women's Missionary Society. Lester passed away in 1974. Frances remained in Beresford until 1979 when she moved to Cambridge, MN and purchased a home. Upon returning to Cambridge she rejoined the Wyanett Evangelical Free Church. Frances was a woman of faith; she enjoyed flower gardening, and singing in groups and the church choir. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lester, and brother David Anderson and is survived by her daughter Pam and husband Tim Johnson of Mansfield, TX, son Brent and wife Kim Carlson of Rochester, MN, three grandchildren Christopher and wife Lauren Johnson, Sarah and Rachael Johnson, two great grandchildren Elijah and Gabriel Johnson, sisters Elizabeth Anderson of Princeton, Doris Anderson and Violet Anderson both of Minneapolis, brother Vernon and wife Phyllis Anderson of Rockford, IL, sister-in-law Carolyn Anderson of Turlock, CA as well as many other relatives and friends.
