Obituary of Rose Rennaker
Rose Rennaker, 86, of Cambridge died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at her home.
She was born April 30, 1925 in Sheldon, Iowa the youngest of 12 children to William and Anna (Sieders) DeWitt. Rose grew up in the Worthington, MN area and attended school.
On February 20, 1943 she was united in marriage to Wendle Rennaker in Worthington. The couple made their home in Worthington. In 1947 the family moved to Brainerd where they farmed for a few years. They later made their home in Mora and in 1959 moved to Cambridge and have been there since.
She was a Psychiatric Technician for many years and then worked in housekeeping at the Cambridge Regional Center where she retired.
She was a member of Joy Lutheran Church. She loved to crochet and embroider and made lots of dish towels and washcloths for many people. She volunteered at the hospital and still helped make crocheted hats and burp cloths for new born babies at the hospital. She enjoyed playing dominos and Skip-Bo and visiting with her friends at Riverwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wendle in January 2001, 11 siblings and great grandson, Nathan. Rose is survived by her children Gary (Carol) Rennaker of Prescott, WA, Wendle Rennaker Jr. of Danbury, WI, Connie (David) Downs of Hartsville, TN, Dennis Rennaker of Cambridge, Candy (Jerry) McColley of Cambridge, Colleen (Doug) Becklin of Cambridge. 12 Grandchildren Gary Jr,, Patrick, Ty, David, Chrissy, Tom, Tim, Chad, John, Anita, Adam and Angela, 26 Great Grandchildren, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
