Obituary of Lillian Karels

Lillian G. Karels of Cambridge passed away on her 90th birthday, Sunday October 12, 2008 at GracePointe Crossing East �" Cambridge Health Care Center. She was born October 12, 1918 to Gilbert and Leona (Winge) Lund in Appleton, Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Alois F. Karels. He passed away in 1984. She was also preceded in death by her sons Gerald and Alois A. Karels Lillian is survived by her children Irene (Vince) Kurkowski of Coon Rapids, Kermit Karels (Carol Steinberg) of Maple Grove, Sharon (Raymond) Mell of Rush City, Leona (Ed) Dauphinais of Dayton, Sid (Bonnie) Karels of Forest Lake, Greg Karels of Wyoming, MN, Bob (Janet) Peterson of St. Michael, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and great great great grandchildren. Lillian made 90, and then God called her home. God is so good and His timing was right, He gave us one more day with our mom for her ninetieth birthday. What an awesome day. God gave us a kind and gentle soul, our mother. We are forever grateful.
