Obituary of Alice Erickson

Alice V. Erickson, 98, of Cambridge, formerly of Dalbo passed away on Monday, October 13, 2008 at GracePointe Crossing West, formerly Grandview Christian Home. Alice Violet Anderson-Erickson was born to Oscar and Anna Anderson in Grandy, MN on May 31, 1910. She attended Bethel College in St. Paul and Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Alice taught in Dalbo for many years where she enjoyed gardening and entertaining in her home near the school. In 1974 Alice retired from teaching and married Albert Erickson. Alice and Albert lived on Albert's farm until they both moved into River Hills in 2000. She attended Dalbo Baptist Church where she played the piano for the services. Alice then taught in St. Cloud, MN and earned a Masters Degree in Education from St. Cloud State University. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Albert, her sisters Inez, Margie, and Myrtle, and her brother, Aymond. She is survived by stepsons Dennis (Karen) of Edina, MN, Lowell (Joanne) of Rochester, and Duane (Jan) of West Hills, CA and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She has five nephews and one niece and several grand nieces and nephews.
