Obituary of David Johnson
David Edwin Johnson, 51, of Arizona, formerly of Cambridge passed away on October 23, 2008 at his sister's home in Cornville, Arizona.
He was born on June 10, 1957 in Rush City, Minnesota to Robert A. and Lois (Hammargren) Johnson. He was baptized at the Spring Lake Lutheran Church. He attended the Moody Country School, and also later Cambridge School. The family moved away from Cambridge, he was confirmed at Shakopee in 1972 and they moved to Arizona where he graduated from Camelback High School in Phoenix, Arizona in 1975.
David worked with hospitality groups at different hotels and most of his time was spent at the Quality Hotel near the Grand Canyon. He loved fishing with his brother, and had a recent fondness for photography, especially sunrise landscapes.
He was preceded in death by his father Robert, niece Johannah Babcock, great niece Taylor Marie, grandparents Adrian and Florence (Coleman) Johnson, Edwin Hammargren, Marion (Hammargren) Bachman, and Ted Bachman, uncles Carl and Reuben Johnson.
David is survived by his mother Lois Johnson of Cambridge, sisters Karen Johnson, Carmen and husband Terry Lisi, brother James and wife Kathy Johnson all of Arizona, aunt Phyllis (Roger) Flaten and their families Cheryl (Dean) Biledeau and children Devin and Lee, Kenneth (Pam) Christopher, three nephews, two nieces, three great nieces and seven great nephews, as well as other relatives and friends.
