Obituary of Elaine Green

Elaine Green "Pat", 84, of Cambridge formerly of Cedar, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2008 at GracePointe Crossing East. She was born March 9, 1924 in Minneapolis to John F.and Lillian (Brede) Burmeister. Pat was united in marriage to John Green in 1949, and they recently celebrated 59 years of marriage. They lived in New Brighton for 15 years before moving to East Bethel in 1964. Pat was very active in West Bethel United Methodist Church for many years. Over the years Pat was employed by Honeywell, Boeing Aircraft, Robinson Seidel, Hollings Brothers, and sold Avon for 20 years. At different times over a ten year period, Pat and John cared for six foster children. She was a very loving and supportive wife, mother, and grandmother. She touched many lives with her wonderful wit and smile. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Jack Burmeister, Dick Burmeister, sisters Aileen Leach, daughter Tami Basel, and son John Green Jr. Pat is survived by her husband John W. Green of Cambridge, MN, son David (Ann) Burmeister of San Angelo, TX, daughter, Cindy (Dan) Brown of Phoenix, AZ, grandchildren, Angel, John, Mary, J.C., and Debbie. six great-grandchildren brothers Bill Burmeister of San Diego, CA, Don Burmeister of San Diego, CA, sister Delores Shimanski of Fridley, and numerous nieces and nephews.
