Obituary of Clinton Moline
Clinton Victor Moline, 89, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, February 6, 2009 at GracePointe Crossing East.
He was born September 23, 1919 in Cambridge, Minnesota to Victor and Myrtle (Sandstrom) Moline. Clinton grew up in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1937. After high school he moved to Worthington, MN where he worked for his uncle at the Worthington Creamery and Produce Company.
On October 12, 1940 he was united in marriage to Dolores Steffenson at the Cambridge Lutheran Church. They made their home in Worthington until 1942 when they moved to Bradford. While in Bradford he began raising turkeys and farmed there until the late 40's at which time they moved to a farm north of Isanti. They farmed there until 1963. He served as the director of the Minnesota Turkey Growers Association for over seven years and was president in 1952. After farming he worked in the aviation business in St. Paul. In 1965 he started Moline Realty in Isanti and moved his office to Cambridge in 1970. In 1973 his son Craig joined the business and he bought the building where it is currently located. Craig took over the real estate business and Clinton operated the appraisal business. In 1990 Clinton retired and remained in Cambridge, spending much of his summers at the home in Sioux Narrows, Ontario, Canada and winters in Bonita Springs, Florida.
Clinton enjoyed fishing, hunting, flying, and playing tennis. One of his goals in life was to be able to play tennis with his grandchildren at the age of 80, and he did. He loved spending time at his home in Canada, especially when all the family could be there.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Dolores.
