Obituary of Cindy Olson
Cindy M. Olson, 57, of Cambridge went home with her Lord on Friday, May 8, 2009.
Cynthia Marie (Lindell) Olson was born March 25, 1952 in St. Louis Park, Minnesota to Gerald and Lorraine (Setterlund) Lindell. She was raised in Coon Rapids until moving to Cambridge in 1960. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1971.
Cindy married John Graham in 1971 and raised a family with two children Tanya and John III. In 1982 John died and Cindy and children moved into Cambridge soon after. In 1984 she married Robert C. Olson and with her two children, moved to his family farm. They had two children Angela and Bjorn. Now raising a family with four children, Cindy also was part owner and worked at J&J Heating as well as enjoying the farm life. In more recent years she worked as a real estate agent. She and Bobby spent many vacations in Florida over the winters.
She was an active member at North Isanti Baptist Church where she was treasurer for several years, Sunday school teacher and superintendent, and involved with several bible study groups over the years. Cindy was also involved with helping inner city children by being a host family for Kids in Country. She was executive board treasurer with 4-H, enjoyed quilting, sewing, shopping, and was quite interested in politics and campaigning for Norm Coleman. Cindy was very mission minded and was a generous and giving person; she made puppets and did sewing for orphans. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother of four who will be deeply missed.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Lorraine, first husband John Graham. She is survived by her husband Bobby, children Tanya and husband Max Bartelt, John Graham, Angela Olson, Bjorn Olson, four grandchildren Zachary, Alexis, Payton and Colton Bartelt all of Cambridge, siblings Joyce Lindell of Coon Rapids, Larry and wife Marilyn Lindell of Cabot, Arkansas, Diane and husband Steve Wicklund, Jim and wife Carol Lindell, Ron and wife Leah Lindell all of Cambridge, as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
