Obituary of Betty Anderson

Betty Lou Anderson, 70, of Cambridge died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at her home at the Bridge Park apartments. She was born May 15, 1939 in Stanchfield Township, Isanti County, Minnesota to Leonard and Ruth (Ostrom) Nelson. Betty grew up on the family farm near the Grandy Stanchfield area. She attended country school. She would later marry John Haight and they had two children Kevin and Roberta. On January 27, 1979 she married Roger C. Anderson and they made their home in Cambridge. Betty worked for a time at the Cambridge Launderers and Cleaners, as well as with Roger caring for the Cambridge Community College grounds. They would move to Pine Village and Roger passed away in December 1995. The past three years Betty was living at the Bridge Park Apartments in Cambridge. Betty enjoyed visiting with family and friends and especially loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. Betty enjoyed doing word fill puzzles and was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church at Rush Point. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Roger, infant sister Sheila Nelson, brother Walter Nelson. Betty is survived by her son Kevin and wife Connie Haight of Cambridge, daughter Roberta Haight of Minneapolis, seven grandchildren Kelly Kimpe of Cottonwood, MN, Jessica Hallock of North Dakota, Gloria (Erick) Jackson, Karl Haight, Eric Anderson all of Minneapolis, Hannah and Brooke Haight of Cambridge, six great grandchildren, brother Dwight and wife Sandy Nelson of Bruno, as well as several other relatives and friends.
