Obituary of Everett Pierce

Everett J. Pierce, 73, of Cambridge, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at the Cambridge Medical Center. Everett Junior Pierce was born February 22, 1939 in Spooner, Wisconsin to Everett W. and Germaine (Truchon) Pierce. He grew up in the Spooner area, and attended school in Spooner. In 1952 the family moved to Hibbing. On Memorial Day of 1968 he married Gloria Armstrong and made their home in Minneapolis. In October of 1977 they moved to Cambridge and raised their 3 boys. Everett worked at Prospect Foundry in Minneapolis for many years. He also farmed for some time. Everett was a great mechanic and could fix anything. He was always tinkering with cars and engines in his garage. He was a kindhearted man and was well liked by others. Everett had a passion for animals and enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Olson. Everett is survived by his wife, Gloria, their sons, John Pierce of Cambridge, Joe Pierce of Cambridge, and Jay (Melanie) Pierce of Braham, 5 grandchildren; 10 siblings, Fern (Donny) Santa of South Dakota, John (Roseanne) Pierce of Kelly Lake, Roseanne (Tony) Keprivech of Hibbing, Ray (Susan) Pierce of Hibbing, Paul (Karen) Pierce of Kelly Lake, Mike (Mona) Pierce of Kelly Lake, Terry (Leann) Pierce of Hibbing, Jackie (Mike) Brooks of Brooklyn Park, Henry (Cheryl) Pierce of Kelly Lake, and Judy Pierce of Missouri, and several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
