Dear Herb, Carol, Scott, Jill, and Susan, My thoughts are with you in this time of sadness, but also it should be one of celebration for the lovely, vibrant woman that Lorna was. I remember Lorna so vividly, more than sixty years ago, when I was about ten and she was in her early 'twenties. She came out to our farm in Roseville Township one Saturday night with Billy, your older brother, Herb, and together, Lorna, Bill, my older brother Charles and older sister, Joan, all went dancing at the Glenwood Ballroom. I remember thinking how pretty Lorna was that night, with her long, dark hair and sparkling smile...and wishing that "someday" I would grow up and be able to go dancing at the Glenwood Ballroom. She was, of course, much more than that, but it is a lovely memory that I will cherish always, and want to share with all of you. Much love, Louise Kloos Comfort

I was so sorry to hear about your mother's death. It seems like only yesterday we were all young and playing together at your house. While we have not been in touch for years, I think often of the wonderful time we all had growing up in such a wonderful neighborhood and I am greatful for the memories that that time has provided for me. It seems strange that time has gone by so quickly and I want you all to know that while time has kept us at a distance, I remember everyone fondly and wish you the best during this difficult time.

Ed, Scott, Jill and Susie, It seems like yesterday you moved to Lone Oak Drive and we played as kids. I remember my brother and I crossing Manpas yard to get to your door and the fun we had. Lorna was always so kind to us and always so sweet. I remember learning how to waterski at your cabin and thinking I would get better at it. Needless to say I never did. But, at least I learned how. I remember too- your mom playing bridge with my mother, Lorna Larson and Fi Sween. Those were so wonderful years of my life. Although I have not seen any of you for several years now I want you to know that I truly cherish those wonderful years in the old neighborhood and am so thankful for that very special neighborhood and how the kindness and fun I had experienced as a child has followed me all of my life. My biggest regret is growing up and not keeping in touch the way that I wish I had. Over the years I have heard bits and pieces of little things about the old neighborhood.I fondly remember neighborhood parades, and the parties our parents used to have. Those truly were some golden years. I would love to hear from all of you at a less stressful time. I was so sorry to hear of Lorna's demise- I extend my deepest sympathies to all of you. I will never forget my lovely neighbor lady and how dear she was to me. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Terry
