Obituary of Helen Larson

Helen Marie Larson, 88, of New Brighton, formerly of Cambridge, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at GracePointe Crossing Gables East in Cambridge. She was born January 11, 1921 in Wyanett Township, Minnesota to John and Lena (Halvorson) Norling. Helen attended country school in Wyanett and graduated from Cambridge High School. On October 13, 1940 she was united in marriage to Alden Larson and the couple lived in Cambridge and then moved to the Twin Cities area for much of their lives, raising their two children. In 1959 they moved to New Brighton and have lived there since. Alden passed away in November 1999 and Helen remained at home since then. Helen enjoyed music and played the piano and accordion. In previous years, she liked working on crafts for the grandkids. Her family was her life and she found great joy in spending time with them. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Alden. Helen is survived by her son Kenneth and wife Diane Larson of Ham Lake, daughter Sharon and husband John Baldwin of Princeton, six grandchildren Lori Baldwin of Minnetonka, Brian (Katie) Larson of Moundsview, Jill Baldwin of Isanti, Pamela (Jim) Neumann of Blaine, Paula (Brian) Haugen of Ham Lake, Patricia (Jerry) Spencer of Princeton, and 12 great grandchildren Cody Baldwin, Chelsea Spencer, Ivy Spencer, Sara Neumann, Kaysey Larson, Emily Neumann, Helen Stanton, Graeham Spencer, Samantha Haugen, Raven Spencer, Harrison Spencer, Eaen Spencer, sister Doris Maske of New Brighton and sister-in-law Dora Larson of Cambridge, as well as many other relatives and friends.
