Obituary of Marjorie Olson

Marjorie Olson, 93, passed away on February 3, 2010 at GracePointe Crossing East in Cambridge, MN. Marjorie was born on April 23, 1916 in Absaraka, North Dakota to Elmer and Clara (Port) Marshall. On October 5, 1940, Marjorie married John Victor Olson and together they raised two sons, Allan and Mark in Milaca, MN where they were in the grocery business for many years. Marjorie was a teacher and member of the Eastern Star as well as many other organizations. She and Vic were members of the United Methodist Church in Milaca. Marj was preceded in death by her husband in 1992 and two brothers, Allan and Kenneth. She is survived by hers sons, Allan (Carol) of Midland, MI and Mark (Linda) of Cambridge, MN., four granddaughters, Amy Boettcher, Angela (Mike) Kalthoff, Jennifer (Richard) Hayward and Allison (Jose) Salinas and eleven great grandchildren. Per Marj's wishes, cremation has taken place and interment will be in East Lawn Palms Cemetery in Tucson, Arizona along side of her husband. A memorial service in her honor will be held at a later date in Cambridge. Any memorials should be given to the charity of your choice or to your local Hospice program.
