YOU HAVE ALWAYS BEEN LIKE MY 2ND BIG BROTHER. YOU HAVE BEEN CLOSE TO OUR FAMILY SINCE I WAS VERY YOUNG. I WILL NEVER FORGET ALL THE GREAT MEMORIES WE SHARE! LIKE THE TIMES WE HAVE HAD PLAYING IN YOUR HUGE SANDBOX AND FLOODING IT. ( OH MAN WAS MY MOM UPSET WHEN WE WOULD COME HOME DIRTY.) TO THE TIME OF ALL OF US PLAYING PAINTBALL IN MY PARENTS BACKWOODS. THESE ARE JUST A COUPLE OF THE THOUSANDS OF MEMORIES I HAVE OF YOU!!!
YOU ARE IN OUR THOUGHTS AND IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER, WE ALL LOVE YOU, AND WILL MISS YOU!
REST IN PEACE MY 2ND BIG BROTHER!

We met Christopher when he was a very young man visiting his father, who lived across the street from us in North Branch. He became close friends with our children. We loved being around Chris, He was a combination of a mischievous, loving, kind, compassionate young man and he was a picture of all that is good in our world. He lived his childhood dream of serving as a police officer and even as an adult his passion for love and life was evident in everything he did. Our sympathy's go out to Emily, his parents and family and all others who also loved him as we do. Our prayers are with you all. We'll miss you Chris. Until we meet again may God bless and Keep you.

I am SO sorry for your loss. I can only imagine what it must have been like to loose a family member so suddenly, and on top of that grief, you had media surrounding you the whole way through. I am DEEPLY sorry for your loss and wish I could attend Deputy Dewey's funeral. I'm sure you'll have a lot going on, but know that when a "Brother" falls we all feel it. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Thank You for letting us all know your story.

Chris and Family: Chris you touch so many lives. I remember you telling me that I could lift benching more and I was thinking you were crazy but I lift more than I thought. I remember you describing Emily however you down played her but then again you down played everything that was about you. I worked as CD counselor and I talk to a person from your county and they said the same things about you as I have told others about you. You were the nicest person did not have negative word for anyone. I am really happy that I got to meet you and I miss you. Emily we may have not hang out much together but when we did I had a good time. You got me looking at a certain magazine in a different light. It appears that the nice person personality runs in the family by what I seen since his accident. You guys are very lucky to be related to that guy and I hope one day that you all can find your peace with Chris's death if you have not found it because he would not have wanted you to live in the past but for the future.

My memories of Chris is around 4th grade he lived across the street from us. He, and my brothers would play hockey in the street. Cheering for his football team in highschool is also a memory of mine. He was a very good student, and cared a lot about his brothers. It's very surreal having a peer die so young, any of us could go at any time. What a brave job he chose, a police officer-it's people like that who show truly what a good citizen is.
