Obituary of Yvonne Lind

Yvonne Nerissa (Weiss) Lind, 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 22, 2010, our loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Donald and her parents Herbert and Esther Weiss. Yvonne was born on May 30, 1932 in Great Bend, North Dakota. She graduated from Wahpeton High School and went on to attend Fairview School of Nursing in Minneapolis, MN, receiving her registered nurse degree. She and Donald were married in June of 1954. They started their family and lived in Minneapolis until 1959 when they moved to Cambridge. Yvonne was a dedicated employee at the Cambridge State Hospital for more than 30 years. She began her career as a Registered Nurse and at her retirement she was the Director of Residential Services. Yvonne loved her children and their spouses and her nine grandchildren. She especially looked forward to occasions when they would all be together. Christmas was her favorite holiday, she loved to decorate, purchase gifts for everyone and wrapped each one beautifully. The Christmas celebration always began with the 3:00 service at Cambridge Lutheran Church. She is survived by her children Michelle (Tom) Spiczka, Mike (Lori) Lind, Cynthia Lind, Todd (Angela) Lind, Kevin (Sherry) Lind, her nine grandchildren Robert and Matthew Spiczka, Holland and Hunter Lind, Joseph and Annie Lind, Weston, Trevor and Justin Lind. Her sisters Jackie Langren of Perham, MN and Rae Johnson of Greenville, PA, brother-in-law Frank Weisbrod, sisters-in-law Bernice Lind and Janet Beaupre all of Cambridge.
