Obituary of Carol Ford

Carol Marie Spjut Heusman Ford, 65, of Cambridge, MN, formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa died Sunday, September 26, 2010 of a lingering illness. Carol was born December 20, 1944 in Cedar Rapids to Earl C. & Gabriella (Pazour) Spjut. She grew up in Cedar Rapids and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1963. Carol married Eugene Heusman and they were later divorced. Carol worked at Rockwell-Collins, Link Belt, Turner Microphone and Oscar's restaurant. Carol enjoyed collecting glass shoes and souvenir plates, the outdoors, volunteering and being with her cat Honey. Carol had a friendly, out-going spirit and a ready smile. She was a hard worker with a good sense of humor and a quick wit. She was preceded in death by an infant sister Earline Ann, her parents, grandparents & son Gene Heusman on May 23, 2010. Carol is survived by her son Brian, his wife Cathy and grandchildren Robert, Brittany, Katlyn and & Emily Heusman of Buckeye, AZ and Gene, Krista & Brianna Heusman of Phoenix. Also surviving are her sister Beverly Wullner and nephew Eric Wullner of Cedar Rapids, dear and loyal friends Karen Skjei of Cambridge, Vicky Larson of Cambridge, and her cat Honey. Life wasn't always easy for Carol but she gave it her all especially the last few months. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her best.
