Obituary of Paul Nosbusch
Paul Nick Nosbusch, 76, of Bethel passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at his home surrounded by family.
He was born April 28, 1936 in Omro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota to Henry and Martha (Braun) Nosbusch. Paul grew up in the Canby/St. Leo area where he attended grade school. The family would move to St. Paul and in 1954 Paul graduated from high school at Central High in St. Paul. After high school he worked for a time at U.S. Steel in St. Paul.
On August 23, 1958 he was united in marriage to Phyllis at the Cathedral in St. Paul. They lived about two years in Minneapolis before moving to Blaine. In 1974 Paul, Phyllis and their five children moved to their home in Bethel and have lived there since.
In 1966 Paul began working for the Anoka school system and retired as a supervisor from Anoka High School in 1996. After retiring Paul also worked at the True Value Hardware Store in St. Francis. Paul and Phyllis wintered in Bullhead City, Arizona from 1997 to 2010.
He enjoyed crafting with stained glass, collecting old toy trolls, riding motorcycle- going on many road trips over the years. Paul was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church where he was active in the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Bethel Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and son Brad. Paul is survived by his wife Phyllis, children Judy and husband Gil Esterby of East Bethel, Dave Nosbusch and special friend Kristine Brown of Ham Lake, Mike and wife Susie Nosbusch of Oak Grove, Cathy and husband Mark Somerson of Mora, 11 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, brothers Mervin and wife Shirley Nosbusch of Jackson, Kenneth and wife Zylphia Nosbusch of Woodbury, sister Shirley Jelen of St. Leo, as well as numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
