Obituary of Hertha LaBelle

Hertha Emily LaBelle, 90, of Princeton passed away on Monday, November 15, 2010 at the Cambridge Medical Center. She was born December 25, 1919 in New Ulm, Minnesota to Otto and Hertha (Roelof) Milbrett. She grew up in Southwestern Minnesota near the New Ulm and Lake Lillan area where she attended country school and graduated from high school. After high school she moved to Minneapolis and worked in a restaurant where she would meet her future husband Joseph LaBelle. They would marry and make their home in Minneapolis and raise their son Joseph. Her husband would pass away in 1991 and in the late 1990's Hertha moved to Princeton to live with her son. Hertha was a long time member of AA and was proud to have had over 30 years of sobriety. While living in Minneapolis she attended St. Hedwig Catholic Church. She enjoyed doing yard work, working in her garden and loved her dogs. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Lester, Melvin and Otto Milbrett, sisters Verna and Helen. Hertha is survived by her son Joseph LaBelle of Princeton, three grandchildren Nicole and husband Ryan Peltier of Minneapolis, Victoria and husband Scott Roessler of Cottage Grove, Joseph LaBelle of Princeton, one great grandson William Roessler, brother Arnold Milbrett, sister Norma Swenson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
