Obituary of Kathleen Doran

Kathleen Ann Doran, 60, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, November 19, 2010 at Wellstead of Rogers. She was born on December 27, 1949 in LaCrosse, WI to Robert and Dorothy (Pelowsky) Voshart. Kathi grew up in LaCrosse attending school and graduating from LaCrosse High School in 1967. She would go on to attend college at St. Theresa's in Winona where she earned her Bachelors' Degree in Spanish Education. On July 3, 1971 she was united in marriage to Dennis Doran at Crucifixion Church in LaCrescent, MN. The couple moved to Moorhead, MN and their first two sons were born. Kathi worked at St. Francis Catholic School in Moorhead and also taught at Oak Grove Lutheran School in Fargo, ND as well as working at Migrant Health Services in Moorhead. The family moved to Breckenridge, MN where their third son was born. After a few years they moved back to Moorhead and later in 1986 moved to Tucson, AZ. In 1988 they moved to Danville, IL and Kathleen taught school at St. Paul's Elementary and High School. In 2000 they moved to Cambridge, MN and Kathi was a substitute teacher until 2003. She was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church in Cambridge. Kathi enjoyed art, painting and drawing, gardening, music, she sang in the church choir. She especially enjoyed raising her three sons. Kathleen was preceded in death by her father and is survived by her husband Dennis of Cambridge, sons Christopher and wife Courtney of Indianapolis, IN, Benjamin of Minneapolis, Michael and wife Rachel of Blaine, three grandchildren Hannah, Connor and Noah, mother Dorothy Voshart of LaCrescent, brothers James and wife Judy Voshart of LaCrescent, Jeff Voshart of Homer, WI, sister Jan and husband Tom Skrupa of Kansas City, MO, as well as numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
