Obituary of Arlene Becklin

Arlene Madelyn (Lindberg) Becklin, 87, of Rockford, Illinois, formerly of the Blomford, MN area passed away on September 28, 2011 at Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center in Rockford. She was born on December 15, 1923 on a farm in Blomford, Isanti County, Minnesota the first child of Harry and Hildur (Rosenquist) Lindberg. Arlene went on to graduate from Cambridge High School and later married Paul H. Becklin. Her roles through the years included farm wife, mother, secretary, a talented cook, seamstress and quilter. After her children were grown and she was single, Arlene worked for a government sub-contractor in Las Vegas until retirement. Arlene lived in Minnesota, Nevada, Washington and Illinois and enjoyed all those places. She is survived by her sons Arland Murray Lindberg (Morre) of Salou, Spain, Andre Paul Becklin of Republic, WA, daughter Linda (Dr. Gary) Salisbury of Rockford, IL, grandchildren Tara Russell of Mahtomedi, Dr. Dana (Paul Shirkey) Salisbury of Corvallis, OR, Zena Lindberg and Emil (Esmeralda) Lindberg of Salou, Spain, Gabriel and Ace Becklin of Republic, WA, great grandchildren Lucas and Amanda Russell, Paige Shirkey, Arland and Ona Lindberg, Isaac and Hailey Becklin, sister Phyllis Green of Cambridge, brother Gary Lindberg of Fridley. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, sister Yvonne, brothers Virgil and Bennett, and grandson Todd Aaron Salisbury.
