Obituary of Alby Myren

Alby Charlotte Myren, 95, of Atwater, formerly of the Cambridge area passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar. She was born February 15, 1912 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Albin and Clara (Lindberg) Anderson. Her family lived for a time in Blomford and in 1921 moved to a farm in Bradford. She grew up and lived most of her life in the Cambridge area and attended the Blomford and Pine Grove Country Schools. She would go on to earn her GED. On January 19, 1932 she was united in marriage to Arnold Myren in Cambridge. They raised their four children in Cambridge. She worked in many placed throughout her life and after she and Arnold retired they moved to the Atwater area in 1983. Arnold passed away in July 1987. Alby remained in Atwater and for the past six years was a resident at Sunnywood Assisted Living in Atwater which she thoroughly enjoyed and made several friends. Alby gave herself unselfishly to relatives and friends. She enjoyed making quilts for the children of the families. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Joyce and Myrtiz, brother Kenneth and grandson Douglas. Alby is survived by her daughter Lois and husband John Rouser of Atwater, sons LeRoy and wife Mary Ellen Myren of Detroit Lakes, Larry Myren of Glen Ellyn, IL, Lyle and wife Carol Myren of Isanti, 12 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, brothers Emory Anderson of Panola, OK, Eugene "Bud" Anderson of Cambridge, Dean and wife Donna Anderson of Blaine, Johnny and wife Verian Anderson of Cambridge, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
