Obituary of Evelyn Anderson

Evelyn Isabella Anderson, 95, of Cambridge passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at The Villages of North Branch. Evelyn was born February 3, 1915 in Harris, Minnesota to Charles and Esther (Hesslund) Lindholm. She grew up in the Harris area and graduated from North Branch High School and went on to Normal School and earned a certificate in teaching. She taught at Blomford, Dale, and Pine Lake country schools. On June 3, 1939 she was united in marriage to Merrill Anderson. They lived on a farm at Horseshoe Lake in Stark. Merrill farmed and Evelyn taught school. In 1950 Merrill started the implement east of Cambridge. They would retire and in 1971 move to Cambridge. They built a home on South Cypress Street and later South Birch Street. Evelyn and Merrill spent many winters in Arizona. Evelyn was a long time member of Fish Lake Lutheran Church and later Cambridge Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, needlepoint, painting cooking and entertaining. In their younger years Evelyn and Merrill enjoyed dancing. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Merrill on March 15, 1994, brother Hardy Lindholm and sister Violet Hokenson-Olson. Evelyn is survived by her sons Lorryn and wife Karin Anderson of Danbury, WI, Larry and wife Candace Anderson of North Branch, 3 grandchildren Jeff (Sherri) Anderson of Stanchfield, Bryan Anderson of Stacy, Jeremy (Stephanie) Anderson of Cambridge, 6 great grandchildren Clayton, Morgan, Raelyn, Courtney, Kendall and Lydia, sister Hazel Carlson of Eau Claire, WI, brothers Venzel and wife Irene Lindholm of Chisago City, LeVance and wife Nina Lindholm of Desert Hot Springs, CA.
