Obituary of Ruth Carlson

Ruth Evelyn Carlson, 89, of Waconia and Coon Rapids, formerly of the Isanti County area passed away on Monday, January 10, 2011 at The Good Samaritan Care Center in Waconia. She was born in Isanti County, Minnesota on July 4, 1921, the daughter of William and Elsie Anderson. On June 16, 1948 she was united in marriage to Lester A. Carlson of Lyons, Nebraska. Four years after they were married, Lester was ordained into the Holy ministry of the Augustana Lutheran Church. Ruth stood behind him with her love and support as he served congregations in Port Wing, Wisconsin, Chariton, Iowa, McIntosh and Fertile, Minnesota. Four children were born to this union, twin daughters Emily Jean and Helen Ann, Steven and Linda. She was preceded in death by her twin daughters, and her parents. Ruth is survived by her husband Rev. Lester Carlson of Waconia, son Steven and wife Margaret Carlson of New York City, NY, daughter Linda and husband Brad Krantz of Victoria, three grandchildren, Andrew and wife Patricia Krantz, David Krantz and James Krantz, as well as other relatives and friends.
