Obituary of Marsha Olson

Marsha Lynn Olson, 43, of Solvang, California, formerly of Cambridge was tragically killed in a car accident near Santa Maria, California on Wednesday, March 7, 2007. She was born on July 11, 1963 in Cambridge, Minnesota to Marshall and Sharon (Durgin) Olson. She grew up in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1981. She went on to Gustavus Adolphus College and graduated from there with a BSN Degree in 1985. She enjoyed reading, traveling, listening to Stevie Ray Vaughn and the Minnesota Twins. Marsha worked at the University of Minnesota hospital before moving to California with her dog "Jazz". She worked at Ventura County Hospital in neo-natal intensive care for 11 years. On April 25, 1998 she married David Lopez in Hawaii. In addition to their medical careers, they owned and managed a restaurant in Solvang called "Cupids", which she enjoyed immensely. Marsha was loving, kind and gave herself unselfishly to family and friends. Words cannot express how much she will be missed. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Edwin and Sophie Olson, Erik and Dorothy Anderson, and mother-in-law Ruth Lopez. Marsha will be greatly missed by her loving husband David Lopez of Solvang, CA, parents Marshall and Sharon Olson of Cambridge, father-in-law Leo Lopez of California, sisters Lori and husband Ron Kahring of Cambridge, Robin Halloum of Minneapolis, Amy and husband Chris Anderson of Princeton, sisters-in-law Lorraine and husband Joe Marquez of Hawaii, Lucille, Lisa and husband Cesar Cano of Los Angeles, CA, nieces and nephews, her dog Murphy and many other relatives and friends.
