The last time I talked to Uncle Clarence was this winter. He called, "Say, do you know who my great-grandfather was?" (He always started his conversations to me with "Say." I knew this meant he had something he wanted me to do.) I reminded him that I was an in-law, and he was the one who was supposed to know these things. He laughed and came back with a clever comment. Soon I found myself photocopying all the Wiersma/Peters information I had and sending it to him. A few years ago, he also stopped, unannounced, in our driveway wanting a favor. He found it hilarious that I was dressed in my Tulip Festival costume. He gave me money so I could put flowers on his parents' graves. I found a nice "permanent" floral arrangement that I continue to bring each year. Uncle Clarence will be missed. I wish the family my sympathy and am so grateful I was able to know him.

I am so glad we had the privilege of knowing CJ. One of my best birthdays was shared with CJ and his wonderful family (he and I shared the same birthday). In honor of me he bought a goat for an impoverished family in Uganda. I felt so special. We got a glimpse of his great spirit and compassion that will be greatly missed. My heart aches for your loss. I am so sorry to hear about C.J. He was my boss who hired me at Miles Homes in 1985. C.J. was not just my boss but mentor, friend who I have kept in contact with all these years. He taught me a lot about Finance and because of this I went on to become Corporate Credit Manager with many companies. His positive attitude, laugh and guidence I will remember for the rest of my life. My sincere condolences to the family. Best Regards, Edward Gunyo.
