Obituary of Shawn Sprinkle
Shawn J. Sprinkle of Harris, died at Hennepin County Medical Center at the age of 37, as a result of a construction accident.
He was born December 31, 1974 at the Cambridge Hospital, to Jack and Linda Sprinkle. Shawn attended and graduated from Cambridge- Isanti High School in 1993. Shawn lived and was raised on his parent's farm, near Stark. His first job off the farm, at age 14, was at Larson Brothers' Equipment. He worked there taking apart equipment, one of his favorite things. Shawn worked at Larson's through high school and after he graduated. He then started working for Mell Construction, then Baurley's, and finally for Lane Minnesota, where he continued to work after the company was purchased by Veit. All of Shawn's jobs allowed him to work outside and operate big equipment. He was a 49er Union member.
Shawn grew up and spent most of his life on his parent's farm near Stark. He loved his dogs Willy, and after Willy, Willa, both St. Bernard's. He also loved building and competing with demolition derby cars, four wheeling, riding motor cycle and pulling tractors. Shawn spent much time in the summer pulling tractors. He even tried to encourage one of his nieces to pull. His first tractors were John Deere, and eventually he bought his first International. His love for tractors didn't fade, however when he purchased his home near Big Horseshoe Lake, he sold his Internationals and put his efforts toward his new home.
Shawn cared deeply for his friends and family. He was known for his sense of humor and making people laugh and his generosity. His generosity carried over even after his death as he was an organ donor. His gifts have already helped three other families.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Willard and Marion Johnson and Kenneth Sprinkle.
Shawn is survived by his parents Jack and Linda Sprinkle of Harris, sister Shelly Sprinkle and her daughters Skyler and Macey Clark of Braham, grandmother Edna Sprinkle of Grasston, uncle Kenneth Sprinkle of Grasston, aunt Joan Sprinkle as well as several other relatives and friends.
