Obituary of Delores Onstad
Delores Emma Anderson-Onstad, 88, of Cambridge, formerly of Fish Lake Township died on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at GracePointe Crossing Gables East.
She was born on December 13, 1923 in Fish Lake Township, Minnesota to Fred and Wendla (Tell) Johnson. Delores was baptized and confirmed at Fish Lake Lutheran Church. She attended country school at District #23.
On June 6, 1942 she was united in marriage to Elmer Anderson. They raised six sons. In 1958 the family moved to the Stark area and lived on a hobby farm.
Delores was a lifetime member of Fish Lake Lutheran Church where she was active in the Ladies Aide. Elmer passed away in August 1969 and Delores remained at the home. She would later marry Orville Onstad and they lived a time at the home before moving to North Branch. They also lived at Pine Village and Ashland Place. Delores had been a resident at GracePointe Crossing Gables East. She was a very active resident at GracePointe, always becoming involved with the many activities taking place. She enjoyed reading the bible and attending bible study, playing bingo, and having coffee with friends.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Elmer and Orville, sons Ronnie and Shorty, an infant brother, brothers Wendell and Fredolph Johnson and sister Eleanor Swanson. She is survived by her sons Gary Anderson of San Diego, CA, Dallas Anderson of Sanibel Island, CA, David and wife Pam Anderson of Harris, Terry Anderson of Minneapolis, daughter-in-law Jody Anderson of Dalbo, five grandchildren Kevin Anderson of Orange, CA, Matt Anderson of Fridley, Peter and wife April Anderson of Forest Lake, Kelly Anderson of North Branch, Lisa Anderson of Fairbanks, AK, four great grandchildren Kayla, Taylor, Zayne and Stone.
