Obituary of Sharon Profant
Sharon Joy Profant, 68, of Cambridge, formerly of Minneapolis, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2011, at her home.
She was born on April 21, 1942, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Armand and Doris (Morgan) Fraulini. Sharon grew up in the Bohemian Flats area of Minneapolis and attended school in Minneapolis. She and her former husband raised four children and she worked as a waitress at the Friars Supper Club and Chanhassan Dinner Theater. In the late 1970s she purchased a home west of Cambridge. Sharon also attended the Cambridge Community College, earning an Associate Degree and was a member of the first graduating class at the college. She worked at the Cambridge State Hospital and also worked nearly 20 years with Dakota Communities Inc. until August 2010.
Sharon enjoyed gardening, rock collecting, bird watching, reading, going for walks and bike rides, loved animals and spending time with her family. She enjoyed trips with her mother and sisters to Las Vegas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Angella Maureen Profant, grandson Michael Aaron Profant, sisters Susan Cox and Judith Kucera. Sharon is survived by her daughter Carmine Profant and husband Lee Hall of Minneapolis; sons Jeffrey and wife Zoe Profant of Bigfork; Anthony Profant of Cambridge; three grandsons, Jonathon Profant of Cambridge and Brady and Jonah Profant of Bigfork; sisters Sandra DeOtis, and Diane Fraulini, both of Bigfork; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
