Obituary of Jimmy Philpott

Jimmy D. Philpott, 76, of Cambridge died on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. Jim was born June 15, 1936, to James Mason and Lily Bel Philpott, in Fairfax, Missouri. Jim graduated from high school in Council Bluffs, Iowa in 1954, and completed his bachelor's degree at the University of Nebraska-Omaha in 1959. He lived in Omaha, Nebraska until relocating to Cambridge in 1976. Jim worked in banking until his retirement. His hobbies included genealogy and gardening. He was known for his irreverent sense of humor and for being a great neighbor. Jim is survived by his wife Sharon of Cambridge, son Raymond Philpott of Cambridge, daughter Shari Philpott of Boulder, CO, granddaughter Kathryn Philpott of Cambridge, brother Tom and wife Catherine Philpott of Georgetown, TX.
